  2. HGV sales representative GIOVANI SANTANA deliberately lied to our faces by indicating he will satisfy our primary goal of consolidating our existing Hawaii Collection timeshare. He even promised what was charged on our credit card was to pay 10-year advanced maintenance fee, and the numbers apparently coincide with what we are currently paying. A very slick and misrepresentation sales tactic. instead, the sales rep. sold us another Hawaii Collection timeshare, he even deliberately delayed meeting with my other co owner of the existing Hawaii Collection just so that he can get away with the rescinding period. Now I am out of money that was charged to my credit card. My thought in dealing with the HILTON brand is dealing with professionals, not crooks and scammers like GIOVANI SANTANA. People beware when dealing HGV salespeople, they only care about their wallets and careless about the financial wellness of others. Hope karma hits them badly.

    My wife and I have been owners for 5 years. They lied to me about how much time we would be able to use. I haven’t been able to use our points one single time. I’m in over $20,000 and still owe over $16,000 for a vacation scam that doesn’t work at all.

  5. I am a Hilton Grand Vacations owner, Las Vegas. I was told when I signed on that I had the initial down payment $3K+ and that my monthly payments would be $475 per month. I have since been invoided for an HOA payment, and now a $1K+ annual maintenence fee and tax to a location I have not even stayed at!! ALWAYS booked.

  6. I was lied to about all the access and benefits of the time share, they said I would have vip to most places, including Disney Land and Disney world, with free upgrades in the park passes. They told me I could roll over points at no cost, and that I would never have to pay resort fees again, and they made it sound like I had access to 7000 hotels. I can never book a hotel, the ones that are available are crappy places in the dessert and most you have to stay as week in. They had me get a Hilton card to pay the down payment, told me I had 2 years to pay off, when I said, it says I only have 1 year, she told me I could call them and get the 2 years, lie! She also told me I could pay my mentance fees with my points, nope called honors they heard of no such thing. The amount I am paying for this time share i could be going on some very nice vacations, now because of this time share I’m limited to where and how I travel. I have lost sleep at night from the pure regret of the day I showed up to those blood sucking con artists. Hilton should be ashamed of them selves for what they are doing to us. I can go on and on about more lies I was told, but I think you get the jest of it!

    How do i get in on the lawsuit ?

    1. They told me the same thing. We paid $35000 5 years ago. Mait fees and taxes (because it has gone up in value every year supposedly) Five years ago the yearly fees were $700 now they are $1600 a year and we have to pay a fee to book. Emailed Hilton grand resale and they told me they would list for 4-5000 minus 25%=$1,000 – taxes and fees $1,600= about $1,400 in pocket. We paid in full when purchased and on average paid $1500 in feesX5 total cost $40,000 -$1,400= loss of $38,600. This should be illegal especially when they are going to resale back for $35-40,000.

We were told by a sales person that if we upgraded our ownership to New York our timeshare would have real value and Hilton would buy it back at almost what we paid (about 130,000) because Manhattan had limited inventory and it was such a desirable location. Now we find that this isn’t true, we were lied to. This expensive upgrade is as worthless as Orlando where we upgraded from. It’s impossible to reach anyone at HGV to discuss this. They will always protect the salesperson.
    We regret the day we bought this timeshare. And how does one even get out? If Hilton doesn’t need your unit they won’t even take it back for free.

    1. hi, I recently had almost the same experience at a South Carolina HGV. we were talked into “UPGRADING” by trading in our DC Property for a New York Property. during the presentation they showed me the cost of the DC property, but at the time of signing the contract my DC Property was worth exactly $10,000 less than we were showed. we noted the
      discrepancy and complained to the notary, who immediately got up to retrieve the manager, who than came a told us something that didn’t mKe since at that point I was so stressed and confused, I didn’t have my phone to check any information on my HGV account. Our DC property purchase was the result of trading in our Barbados properties that we originally purchased at $94,000. realizing this only after signing contract. so within the 5 day legal grace period I sent a certified mail stating I wanted to cancel my recent contract and they denied me that right, so now I am dealing with a lawyer on this matter.
